sex & the city shoe sale

In case you haven't heard, Sex and the City opens this weekend and in celebration - snazzy shoe shop City Style (just a couple doors down from our Berkley location) is offering 20% off all their pumps the rest of the week.

They even suggested styles for your pseudo character... so fun!

If your weekend itinerary involves seeing this long awaited film... shhh!  Don't share Carrie's destiny with us- the c.f. girls and I are makin' an evening of it on Monday.

Normally I only visit New York twice a year for the gift shows, however this year we're showing at the National Stationery show.

I've never visited my favorite shoe shop in May and boy-oh-boy do they have a delicious selection of summer styles.

And so many fantastic colors...

... and dainty details.

It was so hard to choose - but I limited my indulgence to just one pair this time.

...til mid-August Infinity Shoes.

I had a chance to peruse some of the shops in Rochester recently and found these sweet green mary-janes from Shoetique.  They're super comfortable and cute to boot!

After googling the groundhog soles I found out they're also green (if you know what I mean)

And aren't these strappy ones and clogs hip too?

Even though I spend the majority of my time in New York selling my handmade wares, I always manage to squeeze some shopping in.
While window shopping in Soho, I stumbled upon one of my favorite independent clothing lines, Beebop & Wally on a street corner.  We used to carry a few of their jackets at catching fireflies so I was happy I could snatch another one.  I love that robin egg blue color.

And what's a trip to NYC without a stop to my favorite shoe shop?  I had lots of fun tooling around with my new friends, Brian & Christa from Green Glass Company and fellow Infinity Shoe addicts - Michelle & Katy.

After our shopping adventure we indulged in some delicious gelato and some true frozen yogurt from Yolato. (so yummy!)

On the subway ride back, Christa pointed out this silly modification of the Do not lean on door sticker.  It was a humorous note to end the fun evening on.

Steve and I made our way to one of our favorite fall stops, Parmenter's Northville Cider Mill, this weekend.  And since we were so close to Lorla's, I couldn't resist sneaking a peek of her latest collection of fancy footwear.

I ended up going home with these cuties.  Samson agreed... they looked delicious on my tootsies.

This very silly photo was forwarded to me from a friend (knowing that a shoe lover like me would really appreciate it).  I laughed out loud and had to share it with you.

I searched on-line trying to find a web store that carries these fashionable flippers, but no luck... so no diva diving for you quite yet.

It was only a matter of time before I turned my two friends, Michelle and Jenni into Infinity Shoe junkies.  Now every time we're in the NYC for the gift fair we trek down Broadway to visit the home of Miz Mooz shoes.

Next time your crusin' to our Berkley location, make sure to pay a visit to City Style.  This wonderful independent shoe boutique is less than a block from catching fireflies and has the cutest selection of shoes.

my shoe addiction continues

Being that my birthday is in the month of July is as good enough excuse as any to indulge in a few summer additions to my current shoe line-up.  Starting with a great deal I found at Sole Sisters in downtown Rochester.

The lovely Sarah made by Morenatom (one of my favorite shoe designers which I sadly heard is no longer in business... just another reason to buy my last pair)

I found these magical ballet-like shoes in a beautiful store called Sole Mate in Holland Michigan.  They bring out the kid in me.

Target - $12.99 ... need I say more?  (they also come in brown)

My husband's hair gel cost more than these!

one of every color please

I purchased these sweet salmon colored shoes over 4 years ago in NYC and I still get compliments every time I wear them.

Here's why I love them... the colors are delicious, the thin 'slide-in' buckle strap makes my ankles look slim, you can dress them up or down AND they are super comfortable. (I can easily wear them around the store all day)

This summer when I head back to NYC I think I might indulge in these olive ones.

...but these yellow ones are also quite fun

... on the other hand, red always makes a statement

... and ooh la la orange!

Can you see why I haven't bought a second pair yet?  There are just too many yummy colors to choose from  (and there's even more I didn't list)

You can probably tell by my last few shoe postings I am eager for spring to arrive; so when I saw these oh-so-adorable peep toe tennies on another cheeky blog I peruse, I could not help to share the wealth with you. 

Maybe I could convince my husband Steve to give them to me for St. Patty's Day... after all, they are green and gold.

Whenever I have to stop at Target I can never resist the urge to peruse the shoe section because every once in a while I find a sweet style and these skimmers fit the bill.  They'll look great with jeans, skirts and capris.

I saw another girl trying on these fun peep hole wedges and couldn't help to follow suit.  They are quite something, but I don't know if I could pull them off without twisting my ankle... but for only $20 it's tempting to give it a shot.

I know it's only mid February but I was flipping through the most recent j.jill catalog and was lured in by these sweet clogs.  I love the details... the thick strap, flower cut-outs and scalloped edges.
