spring shoe fever

Now that we've had a few spectacular spring days in Michigan, I've started walking our Basset Hound, Gus to work periodically (we only live 2 miles away from our design studio).  And since a gal needs comfortable and stylish shoes for skipping down sidewalks, I picked up these pretties from Sole Sisters in downtown Rochester.

and these sweet Sketchers are sitting my closet too.

Now onto my wish list...

Remember KangaROOS?

More cuties from Privo (also available at City Style in Berkley)

S2

And some strappy sandals that sizzle

I love indigo!

And I can't do a shoe feature without mentioning Miz Mooz. (also available at City Style in Berkley)

cute colorful clogs

I hardly ever click on website ads... but these delightful Danskos caught my eye while I was cruisin' Facebook.  The birdies are my favorite.

fall old navy finds

OnaBright baubled ballet flats - yum yum... I finally had to indulge my purple shoe itch for the fall.  Those peacock colored ones are quite fun too!Onb

And for those days I don't want my bangs hanging in my face or would like a colorful belt alternative, these sweet patterned scarves are the perfect fix.On

Even though I don't have kiddies, I couldn't resist ooohing & ahhhing over these totally practical Halloween costumes.

And what do you think... King Gus?  I'm still holding out for a large hot dog costume for our funny basset hound.

miz mooz shoes available in Berkley

City_styleIf you've read any of my previous shoe posts, you know I have a bit of a love affair with Miz Mooz shoes.  I usually purchase these pretties at Infinity Shoes when I'm in New York, but I just got an email informing me that Berkley's own, City Style is carrying these two cute styles (both of which I already own).

So next time you you swing by our Berkley location, be sure to check out these snazzy soles... just a block down from catching fireflies.

target hit my heart in the shoe dept.

Whenever I make my way to the local Target, I always have to peruse the shoe section to see what styles have hit the mainstream and boy-oh-boy did they get my number for this fall...Target_shoes_08

I was so overwhelmed with the variety of styles I liked, I didn't go home with a single pair... but none the less felt the need to share my fall finds with you!

(those purple ones might still be calling my name though... I'm a sucker for fun colors, dainty straps and puckered pleather... in this case)

green mary-janes by groundhog

GroundhogsI had a chance to peruse some of the shops in Rochester recently and found these sweet green mary-janes from Shoetique.  They're super comfortable and cute to boot!

After googling the groundhog soles I found out they're also green (if you know what I mean)

And aren't these strappy ones and clogs hip too?

toolin' around new york

3Even though I spend the majority of my time in New York selling my handmade wares, I always manage to squeeze some shopping in.
4While window shopping in Soho, I stumbled upon one of my favorite independent clothing lines, Beebop & Wally on a street corner.  We used to carry a few of their jackets at catching fireflies so I was happy I could snatch another one.  I love that robin egg blue color.2

And what's a trip to NYC without a stop to my favorite shoe shop?  I had lots of fun tooling around with my new friends, Brian & Christa from Green Glass Company and fellow Infinity Shoe addicts - Michelle & Katy.Shoes

Here are this year's purchases...

Michelle - Bliss

April - Casablanca

Katy - BreckThumbnail_gelato_set3

After our shopping adventure we indulged in some delicious gelato and some true frozen yogurt from Yolato. (so yummy!)

On the subway ride back, Christa pointed out this silly modification of the Do not lean on door sticker.  It was a humorous note to end the fun evening on.

flowery fall flats

MartySteve and I made our way to one of our favorite fall stops, Parmenter's Northville Cider Mill, this weekend.  And since we were so close to Lorla's, I couldn't resist sneaking a peek of her latest collection of fancy footwear.

I ended up going home with these cuties.  Samson agreed... they looked delicious on my tootsies.
