After some persuading, I convinced a few of our fabulous firefly gals to entertain their inner model and pose with some of latest trendy arrivals.  Scarves start at only $14.95 and look great adorned with a crocheted flower pin.

 

We also have some sweet stylin' hats just waiting to be worn out of the store.  (Piper, our store cat had no problem finding her inner diva)

a hot sandwich in a second

When I saw this clever product offered by a company in the UK, I immediately inquired to see how we could land some in catching fireflies.  I couldn't wait to try it out and it totally works!  I kept my sandwich somewhat skinny with a few pieces of shaved turkey and a cheese slice.  The toaster didn't completely melt the cheese, however it saved me from cleaning a pan and still delivered a tasty lunch- which is always a good thing in my book.

Another awesome kitchen must-have from the same company is this pizza mesh.  I'm not a huge frozen pizza fan, however the sample guy at Costco lured me in to purchasing a Palmaro's thin crust pack and holy cow... after baking it on this - I am hooked!  This mesh even makes day-old pizza taste  better than it did the first time around.  And it also works the same magic on frozen potato products ---oh-so-tasty!

inspired by kelly rae roberts

Meet the adorable Kelly Rae Roberts of Seattle, Washington.  She creates inspiring images of lovely ladies and whimsical wonders. 

Her story reads, "To me, art has been the unexpected & life-changing discovery of finding my passion. It was a dream I neglected until I was 30 years old, a whisper in my life yearning to be heard. When I finally began to put paint onto paper, my heart and life exploded with a joy I hadn’t known before.

Now, many moons later, the whimsical and playful nature of my paintings still come from the inside like a quiet yet heartfelt truth. Much like my own spirit, my work expresses honesty and tenderness while remaining lighthearted and colorful. Autumn is always my favorite time of the year to accessorize.  I love love love these light-weight leaf & filigree earrings!  Just ask my fellow firefly teammates... come fall these pretties have a permanent place on my earlobes - and they're only $14 a pair.

And even though we're saying goodbye to the summer months, you can always still wear pretty posies in your hair and ice cream cones around your neck.  Posy headbands are $10.95 each.

And just in time for next week's first week favorite coupon!  Now mind you, all these fancy photos are me putting down sheets of tissue paper on the floor by our front windows at the store and laying the bags down - so please excuse the harsh patent leather glare on some of these...

All of these pretties retail between $26.95 - $58.95 and are available at our Berkley & Rochester locations.  There are also a few styles available online: turquoise v-pocket handbag, canvas peace sign bag, and large pinked edge bag.

This is my favorite new style.  There are hidden pockets in the front - perfect for locating a ringing cell phone or finding that pack of gum you're always fishing for.  They also come in brown, black & mustard.

Plus, I just got confirmation that our ever popular ESPE bags & wallets are in route to our store as I type so hopefully they'll be available next week...
