stop by skirt spot this summer

It's June... and for me that means I get to start wearing fun and flirty skirts almost everyday.  They've become one of my favorite summer accessories for many reasons:

1. You can get away with wearing brighter colors and louder prints.

2. They're very comfortable and far more attractive than shorts.

3. Throw on a simple tee and flip-flops and you're set to go.  Add a cute cardigan or jean jacket and you're good for the evening.

4.  People will comment how cute you look and before you know it, you'll have at least a dozen summer skirts in your closet like me.

S is for super-cute

When I stumbled upon these tasty tees for tots by madie jane, I couldn't help to say 'awwwe' out loud.  I'm just bummed they only come in sizes NB to 24 months because my two nieces Morgan and Madeline would be the sweetest M & M's in town with these sassy shirts.

(one day later...)

hey hey hey, the wonderful lady who crafts these cuties just informed me that the onesies come in sizes NB to 24 months BUT the tees and tanks are available sizes 0-3 months up to size 12.  yeah--  I can buy them for my nieces! NOW I have to ponder over what color & pattern choices to pick... such difficult decisions!

sweet styles for spring

We've been getting lots of super cute clothes in at our Berkley location lately for the spring season.  This shirt is by far my favorite.  The embroidered fabric flowers jump off the chocolate brown background and the shoulder tie adds that perfect touch of femininity.

These two ultra-busy patterned shirts are made by the same designer as the shirt above.  And I must admit I snagged these for myself too. I just love the vibrant mix of colors... it's no wonder why the line is called 'Inner Child'.

And before you know it, the weather will be warm enough to model these vintage inspired sweeties.  We love the ties because they can be worn in the front or the back depending on your personal preference.

no more itchy sweaters

With the temperatures dipping down in the single digits lately, my sweater rotation has been on the upswing... so when I spotted this clever under garment it perked my interest.

I think I need to add a couple of these to my wardrobe for numerous reasons...

~ it's lightweight, whisper-thin, form-fitting fabric that adds no bulk under clothing (because who wants to look bigger than they are!?)

~ it takes the edge off itchy sweaters and stiff suits (ahhh... I can wear my angora sweaters freely)

~ it serves as a clothing "liner" so you can dry clean and launder less (it'll pay for itself in no time)

~ it catches embarrassing perspiration (even when you're under pressure, no one will spot it)

~ it's long in length, stays tucked in and hides the muffin top (my personal favorite benefit)

movie tees for tots

I couldn't help not to laugh out loud when I first saw these hilarious baby tees.  They're sure to put a smile on any pop-culture parent's face.

I can still hear Vince Vaughn say, "You're so money baby!"

... and for you few Tom Cruise fans that are left.

and we can't forget all you lord of the rings junkies.

little miss christmas

When you work in a retail atmosphere during the month of December it's hard not to eat, sleep and breathe Christmas... so when I spotted this cheeky tee I had to have it.  So if you're shopping at one of our stores in the next coming weeks... you might see me spreading some holiday cheer with the help of little miss christmas.

fabulous fashion finds

Danielle (the Berkley store manager) and I just recently visited Chicago to attend the Style Max clothing tradeshow.  We found some very cute new clothing lines that we're excited to share with you!

We fell in love with these sweet jackets designed by Lisa of Beebop & Wally from NYC.  The fabrics, colors and cuts are delicious.  We just got them at the Berkley location and I already nabbed the pink one for myself.

And here is the lovely Danielle showcasing some of the new Skinny Minnie designs you'll be seeing next year.  (the middle one is my fav)

And come spring... some of these XOXO styles will be available.  (I think the patterned skirt & ruffle top combo is the cutest)
