The grocery stores are already creating end caps filled with marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey bars for the summer months but you don't need a campfire to enjoy these delectable treats!
3/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
20 whole graham crackers, crushed (3 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs)
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
7 Hershey chocolate bars (1.55 oz. each)
4 cups miniature marshmallows
Beat margarine and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Stir in crushed graham crackers, flour, and salt. Press 2 cups of mixture onto bottom of a greased 13" x 9" pan. Place chocolate bars, side by side, over graham cracker mixture in pan. Sprinkle the marshmallows on top of the chocolate bars. Crumble remaining graham cracker mixture over marshmallows. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes about 24 bars.
Thanks Sarah for bringing these sweet treats to our little party last week.
